I am the type of girl who once she decided she likes something, it’s all she wants to eat. If I’m on an oatmeal kick, the only thing for breakfast that I want is oatmeal. Luckily with oatmeal it can be made many different ways, but the point is the same. It’s very easy for me to get stuck in a breakfast rut.
Lately I have been trying to mix up breakfasts to include different things, instead of just oatmeal every day.
Here are my favorite breakfasts lately.
A Homemade egg mcmuffin. Technically this is just an egg muffin, no mc in front. This isn’t McDonald’s. Homemade mcmuffins are SO much better, healthier and tastier than the kind you buy at a fast food restaurant.
I like my egg muffins with one fried egg, a slice of cheese, and ketchup.
Another egg breakfast has been scrambled eggs on toast.
For this I usually take one (or two if I’m really hungry) pieces of toast, scramble my eggs with garlic powder and sprinkle in some shredded cheese, and serve with ketchup and hot sauce.
So simple, yet so filling.
Any bread for this is fine, but my favorite is 12 Grain bread.
An obvious choice, avocado toast.
Is there a girl who isn’t obsessed with this delicious breakfast? I think not.
Avocado’s are so good for women’s health, so it’s like you’re doing your body a favor by eating this for breakfast! Good for you 🙂
Oatmeal has been one of my go to breakfasts for years. I usually mix honey and berries in, but lately I’ve been adding in banana and peanut butter.
Oh my goodness, you need to try it! The peanut butter makes the oats so creamy. I did not include a photo of any of my oatmeal. Trust me, oatmeal with peanut butter mixed in doesn’t look too pretty.
And filling! You will be full up for hours afterwards.
And to finish it off, coffee of course!
Breakfast has always been my favorite meal of the day. I love all kinds of breakfast food, so changing it up so often has left me even more excited for breakfast than usual.
What is your go to breakfast?
