Traveling to New Zealand was by far one of the best experiences of my life. It is my favorite country and the most beautiful place I have ever been to. I dream of going back daily.
I thought I would dedicate my next few photo Friday’s to New Zealand because even a bad photo of New Zealand is still a good one, and deserves to be shown!
The thing that makes this photo special to me is that it was taken on my last full day in the country. I had just said good bye to the best hostel mate I could have ever asked for, and was exploring in the rain with a girl I didn’t know.
She was not down for walking in the rain to find these hot springs, but I was the one with the car and wasn’t going to spend my last day inside!
These hot springs were in Taupo, and there are hot springs everywhere there!
Even though it was raining and I didn’t have a towel, once I found these hot springs I hopped right in! My new friend told me to hurry it up while she hid under the bridge to prevent getting wetter.
I never realized how incredible cold rain water falling on your body while in hot springs felt. INCREDIBLE!
I think exploring in the rain was actually really fun, and I am so glad I chose to do that (and visit Huka Falls and get honey) as opposed to sitting in all day just because everyone else wanted to.
If I would have listened to everyone else I never would have been able to find these gorgeous hot springs and water fall!
Do you ever go against others and find you have a better time?
