I’m the type of person who doesn’t have much of an opinion on Valentine’s Day. No such thing right? Well, it’s true. I think you should show people love always, but what’s wrong if people want to have a special day to celebrate it?
I am not much of a fan for going out for Valentine’s Day, preferring to stay home and cook dinner instead.
This year, Scott ended up having the whole day off after all, so we made the most of it at home. We unexpectedly had some workers come in to fix our closet, so while that was going on we each did our own thing, him writing, and me working on this blog.
We exchanged gifts the evening before. I gave him a little bucket of his favorite chocolates. He gave me the Mary-Kate and Ashley movie “It Takes Two” (omg yes!), a Princess Jasmine pez, a Animal Pez, and some Finding Dory gummies.
I am so excited to watch It Takes Two! Growing up I LOVED MK&A and had all of their movies. When I moved to Australia I donated them all. It was heart breaking.
I received an amazing gift from my parents. They sent me a bouquet from Edible Arrangements, aka the most amazing place to give and get gifts from ever! This definitely made my day!
We finally had a day to just chill and watch out latest obsession, Bones.
I can’t believe this show has been on the air for 12 years and I’m only just watching it. It is so addicting. I keep finding myself dreaming that I am part of the forensics team. Which is both cool and creepy.
For dinner we made one of our favorite meals. Veggie Stir Fry!
It’s so nice being able to just hang out and chill, without work to think about. I love those relaxing days.
What did you do for Valentine’s Day?
Do you celebrate or no?
