The Christmas Tag
I wasn’t originally going to do the Christmas tag, because so many bloggers are doing it, and I want my content to be more original (no offence to any bloggers doing the tags, they’re super fun and I love reading them! I just don’t want to fill my blog up with a bunch of tags, and I want it to be more focused on my travels and random thoughts that I feel like writing about) BUT like I just said, this tag is fun to read, and why not do a tag every now and then, right?
What is your favourite Christmas movie?
Elf!! I love Elf so much, it’s so Christmassy and every time I watch it I get so filled with the Christmas spirit.
Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or on Christmas morning?
Christmas morning for sure! I feel like it wouldn’t be Christmas if I didn’t open the gifts on Christmas morning. And anyways, Santa only came a few hours before, so I wouldn’t be able to open them on Christmas Eve, would I? 😉
Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?
Weirdly no. I love Christmas so you would think I would. I think I would have to say one Christmas a few years ago we were at my step dad’s aunt’s house, and she was demonstrating how to use her Samurai swords. Which after everyone having a few drinks was hilarious, yet scary.
Favourite festive food?
Mashed potatoes. Scott and I don’t eat potatoes. No reason really other than he doesn’t like them too much, and I prefer sweet potatoes. So I now think of mashed potatoes as a holiday treat. They are soooooo yummy!
Favourite Christmas gift?
How can someone choose? I love everything given to me, because I know that someone was thinking of me and what would make me happy while picking it out.
Favourite Christmas scent?
Gingerbread, because Christmas is the only time of the year that I get to smell it.
Do you have any Christmas eve traditions?
No. But this year is mine and Scott’s first Christmas just us, so if he doesn’t work till midnight we’ll have to do something Christmassy.
What tops your tree?
We actually don’t have a tree 🙁 There just isn’t much room. We may end up getting a small tree, and if so then it will be a star.
As a kid what was the one (crazy, wild, extravagant) gift you always asked for but never received?
I always asked for a Christmas dress, but never got one. I had the perfect vision in my mind, of a velvet purple one with a purple ribbon. Never got it.
What’s the best part about Christmas for you?
Spending time with the family I rarely get to see and getting to travel around to see everyone.
If any of you decides to do this let me know so I can check it out!
