I’ve never been huge on meditation. I always thought that it was just people sitting on the floor doing nothing. I am the type of person who handles stress well for a while, and then suddenly it all gets to me and I break. Sometimes it’s so quick and easy to overcome to stressful feelings, but sometimes a little help is needed.
These apps and websites have been recommended to me by my doctor and I’m loving trying them all out and figuring out which ones are my favorite.
-
Calm. Even just checking out the website helps calm me down. The homepage is the sound of water and a gorgeous view of a lake. This is the perfect app for beginners and those looking to get into meditation but isn’t really sure what it’s all about.
-
Headspace. I’m pretty sure this one is the most popular. I’ve heard many people rave about it. My favorite part? It only takes 10 minutes a day, so I don’t feel like I’m wasting my day away.
-
Breathe. There are so many options for whatever you are looking for, so you know that whenever you use this app, you will find something you need.
-
Omvana. This app provides you with guided sessions by experts and lots of calming sounds to listen to.

DoYogaWithMe.com. This website provides so many different videos to follow along with and do yoga. I personally find that doing yoga calms me down and I always end up feeling so relaxed and happy. This website has videos for exercise, body transformation, meditation, breathing. Basically anything!
There are obviously SO many more apps, but these are the ones that were recommended to me and the ones that I have tried.
It has been pretty fun trying out different apps and seeing what works best for me.
Have you ever used a stress or meditation app?
Which one is your favorite?
We’ve heard lots about the headspace app! We need to download it. There are so many great meditation apps these days which can be confusing. Your post is a nice place to start though, we’ll definitely be looking into all of them.

Thank you! I agree, there are so many these days it’s hard to know which ones to use.
These are so helpful! I too have been hesitant about meditating, but I’ve heard so many great things about it, and yoga has REALLY helped chill me out, so I’m trying to break into it.
Having an app like this seems like it kind of bridges the gap between us newbies and the pros!
Thanks Susie!
It took me a while to get into meditation and I definitely go through phases of doing it and then not doing it. But I always feel amazing after I meditate.
