Hello everyone! I decided instead of a photo Friday, today would be a short recap post of the last few days. Today is Scott’s birthday, and he keeps changing his mind on what he wants to do, so once I know what the day will bring I’ll fill you all in 😉
The last few days have been pretty good, even though I had something happen to my foot!
I finished reading Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. It took me a few days of short reading spurts, but altogether it took me about three hours to read!
A lot of people on Twitter and Instagram told me they weren’t too crazy about the script, but loved seeing the play in London. As I do not live in London (I wish!) I have not been able to see the play. Everything I’ve heard about it though makes it seem incredible!
I absolutely loved reading the script though. It was so addicting and really hard to put down. I wish it were longer or there was another book! I liked how it was a script instead of a novel, and the story line was so unexpected. It is definitely more of a Young Adult script to read, but hey, you’re never too old for Harry Potter I think!
On Monday Scott bought us some Mucho Burrito for dinner. It was the 6th year anniversary of the death of one of my best friends and I was feeling down and had no desire to cook or anything. So I had a glass of wine, and ate my veggie burrito bowl and just chilled and remembered my friend.
The burrito bowl was delicious! I usually just get a burrito but I was feeling something different.
Then Scott had two days off with me. On Tuesday I had to head to the Podiatrist office. TMI I know, but I’ve had an ingrown toenail since July, and a few rounds of antibiotics didn’t help at all. So it was time to get parts of the nail removed.
I’ll spare you the details and the photos (You’re welcome) but it wasn’t as painful as I had been told. It was quite painful the evening of the surgery after the freezing all wore off, but now it is just really sore. It isn’t too bad!
But my doctor was really cool and he had the BEST VIEW! The photos don’t do it justice but trust me! You could see snow covered mountains, green mountains and the ocean! All over the city!
Both Tuesday and Wednesday were just relax my toe days so I made a quick and simple dinner of stir fry!
We watched lots of Lie to me, amazing show!
On Wednesday Scott’s birthday presents from his parents arrived. He got all of the Daniel Craig James Bond movies so we will be watching those, he got all of the Austin Powers movies, Elementary, and the latest movie from Rob Zombie, 31!
I am terrified of clowns, but Scott and I love Rob Zombie, so I will be watching this movie for sure, and I am so excited!
Thursday (today for me) I just caught up on some blog work and will just be relaxing my foot, as my toe is quite sore. I love a good productive yet chilled and relaxed day!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SCOTT!
