Ahh yes, a dinner date at Biercraft. My favorite restaurant in Vancouver.
For Valentine’s Day both Scott and I worked. He got me some gifts, and I promised to take us out to dinner next week. But Friday evening he texted and said he was home early, so we decided to glam up a bit and then head out to Biercraft!
We love this place so much. I’ve written about it before. Biercraft is about a ten minute walk away from us, has an awesome atmosphere, and is really delicious!
This time the menu was a bit different. I guess they change it up every now and again, which keeps things fun.
Once we arrived we were served their popcorn that they always do, and we decided to split some black bean taquitos as an appetizer. I was honestly in shock. These were so good! I mean, the food there is delicious, but something so simple as black beans in dough should not be as good as they were!
Also, I made Scott be the photographer for the night 🙂
For our mains I went with my favorite, the garden burger. No mushrooms, add avocado.
Scott went with his favorite, the braised beef mac and cheese.
I’ve never been the biggest fan of mac and cheese but even I think his food looks incredible. I love the dish it is served in.
Doesn’t everything just look incredible?! Somehow they never disappoint. So of course we will keep going back 🙂 My only regret was not being able to finish it all.
We weren’t feeling any of the dessert options on the menu so we walked up the street to the best ice cream shop in the area. Rain or Shine ice cream.
I tried a few samples but ended up going with the same as last time. The chocolate malt with honeycomb. Scott got the same thing, but in a cup. The bottom of the cone was broken off and managed to drip all down the front of my coat and up my sleeve, but it was worth it.
Once home we cuddled up with Halloween 6. I’ll talk all about that soon, so stay tuned!
Thank you so much Scott for these photos! You are getting good 😉
