Halloween is by far one of my favourite holidays.
I have always adored dressing up, planning outfits, planning out where to meet and where to go out, the excitement of seeing friends costumes. I love the sense of spookiness and seeing houses decorated. It’s always so fun to walk through neighbourhoods where all of the houses are decorated and it feels like something out of a movie. I love getting to spend a whole month re-watching old scary movies and discovering new ones, and having the month of October as an excuse to do so.
I love Halloween and wish it came around more than once a year.
But it doesn’t, and I’m guilty of not decorating my apartment (hopefully next year I do, I’m not sure why I didn’t this year) so here is a few things -clothing and decorations- that I would definitely keep around all year.
This tee, from Asos, is $40.78 Canadian. A bit pricey just for a tee, but it glows in the dark (!), is over sized, can be worn as a PJ shirt if I ever so desire, and looks comfy as hell. Super desirable. Shop here.
Just like the ‘Be very Afraid” tee, this pumpkin tee is over sized and so comfy looking. Also easy to turn it into a PJ shirt when the time comes. This is a shirt I could wear out with jeans, leggings or a skirt, and still feel comfortable in. Also, the pumpkin face is pretty cute, while still having a spooky edge. For $31.72, Shop here.
I rarely drink anymore, so there isn’t much of a need for this skull shot glass. But if the occasion arose, this would be a very interesting shot glass to have around the house. I’ve never done a shot out of one like it before. On Thinkgeek for $3.49 You can get it here.
How cool is this blue skull light? As soon as I saw it I wanted one. They come in two other colours, but I really think the blue would give a sort of creepy ambiance. For $16.37, it’s worth not having to have the bright overhead ceiling light on, and to give the room a cosier feel. Also, I would never go into someone’s house excepting to see one of these. It’s quite unique.
I found these cat coasters on Etsy and immediately fell in love. I’m not one to use coasters in my own home (no need really), but these cat coasters are so interesting looking that I would be pouring myself drinks just to be able to use them. For $21.58 for a 5 pack, I’ve never seen a coaster like these before.
These Vinyl coasters are a dream. They were the first thing to catch my eye while I was scrolling Etsy. I don’t have any decorations around the apartment, but I would have a blast playing around with these, seeing where they look best. With a price tag of only $4.05 each, they’re a steal.
Great, now all I want to do is decorate in a big comfy tee!
