Happy One Year Blogiversary JustBeingBrooklyn!!

How has this day already come about?! It feels like I only just started this blog and already I have been doing this for a whole year! It is such an exciting feeling!

I have always heard people say not to get too attached to your blog because chances are you’ll quit it within the first year. Well, I have absolutely no intention of quitting anytime soon. Or ever πŸ™‚

This blog originally started as an outlet. I was going through a lot of mental health issues, and just starting medication. I haven’t really talked about that on here much, but this blog is sort of what saved me mentally. It was a space for me to just write about whatever I felt like writing about. To talk to someone when I was home alone. To process my thoughts out of my head.

Writing has always been a source of release for me, and deciding to put my thoughts on the internet was definitely scary. But I love writing and reading blogs, so it was a really good choice for me.

I have had such positive feedback this past year and cannot wait to expand this blog into more than just travel stories. I want to write about all things lifestyle, upcoming trips, recipes, restaurants, more travel stories, random thoughts in my head.

If I can write it down, and if I feel like my readers would be interested, then I want to put it on this blog.

I want my blog to be a place where every day is different. I want you to feel like you’re having a chat with one of your girlfriends. I want you to feel like you aren’t alone in whatever is going on, and just find some sort of release here, like I do.

You know, all that fun stuff and whatnot πŸ™‚

So I just wanted to take the time to say THANK YOU TO ALL YOU WONDERFUL PEOPLE WHO TAKE THE TIME OUT OF YOUR DAY TO READ THIS BLOG! Every comment I get, I read and comment back to because it makes me SO happy to see.

I love how I have “met” people online who I now talk to regularly, and the support within the blogging community. It is such an awesome feeling.

So Happy One Year Blogiversary and I cannot wait to keep writing everything down here.

Thanks loves! πŸ˜€

Hi! I’m Brooklyn, a Canadian whose aim is to see as much of the world as I can, on my limited vacation days. I work full time, and want to show you how it is possible to do just that, while still making use of those precious vacation days.
