These past few weeks I have been working my butt off at my job! This past week I worked 52 hours and my next two weeks look like they will be really busy as well. I’ve always been the type who rolls her eyes when I hear people brag about being so busy. Like, what about time for yourself and your personal life? I don’t see the value in always being “busy”. I’m the type who wants to go to work, do her job, excel in it, but also have a social life.
I’ve enjoyed the busy weeks, but not having as much time to myself has been weird. Thankfully I love my job 🙂
I recently took on another job since one of my jobs will no longer need me in two weeks. For those who don’t know I work as a nanny with a few different families. It’s sad to be losing a job I love so much, but thankfully we already have babysitting times set up. And so far I am loving my new job.
So in about two weeks I’ll go back to having more me time, which means more blog time 🙂
I have been enjoying working and coming home and making fun dinners lately. Next month I’m going to do a post all about the new recipes I’ve tried out this past month. Cooking has been my “me time” this past month, and I have loved it. I love trying out new recipes and then the next time I make them I cater them more to my own tastes.
I’m currently making a minestrone soup in the crock pot and it smells heavenly. Only a few more hours!
I wanted to share a few photos I’ve taken these past few weeks, but dedicating an entire post to them didn’t make sense.
These next few photos were taken by both myself and Scott, after seeing Super Troopers 2. We were walking through Gastown after the movie to take the train home. I’ve seen the famous Gastown Steamclock during the day, shortly after moving to Vancouver. But at night it was a whole other story. How stunning! I love how the streets were all lit up with strings of lights, and colors everywhere.
That last photo was taken by Scott. Isn’t it gorgeous? The lights make me feel so happy.
This week we are off to see Deadpool 2 with a friend, and next week we got tickets to see comedian Ron Funches at Yuk Yuk’s. So those should be fun!
This was a fun ramble post, but now I’m off.
One last thing – how about that Royal Wedding eh? Not going to lie, I cried several times!
