This past week I’ve mostly had to stay in because I had surgery on my toe last Monday. It’s been nice reading loads of blog posts and writing some of my own, but I admit, I have had a bit of cabin fever going on. Usually I’m able to go out on walks or do whatever, but I haven’t been able to due to my toe. On Monday I heard that Cineplex was offering a deal for Blue Monday. They were offering tickets for half the price of a usual ticket. So instead of a movie ticket costing 1000 scene points, they were only costing 500. Also, I still hadn’t seen Fantastic beasts, so this seemed like the perfect first outing to me! So here came about a Monday date day!
Since I had loads of scene points saved up, getting tickets for Scott and I didn’t cost a cent! I love free-ish thing. I say free-ish because obviously I paid for movies to earn those scene points originally.
We are lucky. The theatre that we were going to is really close. A 5 minute walk to the train, a 10 minute train ride, and a 10 minute walk to the theatre from there. Voila!
I loved Fantastic Beasts! Although to be honest, I always knew that I would. I grew up obsessed with Harry Potter and was so ready to watch a new story play out. I fell hard for the bowtruckle’s. Ah so cute!
And my heart broke a bit when they had to obliviate Jacob Kowalski.
I loved it!
Afterwards Scott and I walked over to our favorite comic book shop “Golden Age”. I’m not a comic book reader but I love checking out all of the Funko Pops there.
Look at how realistic this Sirius Black one is. Sirius is my favorite character!
Before heading home for an evening of breakfast in bed and an Elementary marathon, we stopped in the mall that is connected to the train station. I always have to check out the Disney store!
Oh my goodness! Everything in the Disney store is lust worthy right now! I literally wanted everything!
The mugs? AMAZING!
I loved seeing how much Bambi merchandise was in the store. I don’t recall ever seeing any Bambi merch before so I was happy to see that the movie was finally getting it’s due!
Look at these pj’s! They have both male and female pj’s, and they were so soft, I can only imagine how comfy they would be.
I love pj sets!
The Disney store had a serious bag game going on. Every bag they were selling was perfect. They had large tote bags that were really good quality.
But my favorite were these Minnie Mouse purses in different shapes and sizes.
I didn’t buy anything but boy, did I want to.
It is so tempting to leave with the whole store every time I go into the Disney store. I was geeking out a bit, not going to lie.
Now I’m tempted to go back and buy it all….can I be rich now please?
Do you love the Disney store as much as I do?
What did you think of Fantastic Beasts?
