Not going to lie, there’s nothing I would have liked more than to just lay in bed all day watching YouTube. Instead though, I decided to have a productive day off.
I started the day with a nice lie in, even though the construction woke us up early. I just refused to allow myself to fully wake up, so I tried to stay sleeping. I was just so comfy.
When I finally decided to wake up, Scott and I decided to make pancakes!
I’m really not the biggest pancake person (I know, leave this site now and never return again. Who wants to read the ramblings of the crazy girl who isn’t crazy about pancakes. I understand) but weirdly this morning I had a craving. So I made us each two pancakes, and mine had dark chocolate chips. Yum!
Of course I didn’t finish them though. Pancakes are just too much sweetness for the morning, but I ate most of it.
During breakfast we watched an episode of our new obsession, the show Zoo.
If you haven’t watched this show, sorry, but you should. It’s about how animals are changing and evolving, and no longer fear humans. They realize that they are more powerful, and gang up to kill humans. A group of people are trying to go to each of the places where these horrific accidents are happening, and believe that a pesticide company is responsible for the change in the animals. It’s a stressful show because this could totally happen! But it’s still so good and interesting, so I have to keep watching.
Afterwards, Scott had to leave for work, so I did laundry, swept the floors and finally finished watching Full House.
I have been trying to finish this show for so long now. It’s funny. Even though I watched the show as a kid, I still remembered every single episode.
I had only a few days left to finish the show, as Netflix is taking it off in a few days to put on Fuller House.
Of course I’ll have to watch that!
After finishing the show I made some yummy raspberry tea, made my work lunches for the next three days, and I’m now about to paint my nails.
For work lunches I made sweet potato chunks, broccoli and chicken, and then mixed it all together in fajita seasoning. It smelled delicious!
There wasn’t enough room for me to add in these peppers though. Red peppers are my favourite! How huge and delicious looking are these?!
I also decided to go through all of my clothes and decide what to get rid of. I do this about three times a year.
Downstairs in our creepy locker room that I didn’t even know we had in our basement, is a bin for clothes to be donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters. I’m filled nearly the whole bin!
Now for the rest of the evening I’m going to drink more tea, hopefully do some more blogging and blog planning, and catch up on YouTube.
I haven’t watched YouTube in weeks, so I am so behind!
I think for dinner I’ll have some leftover pizza from a few days ago, here’s hoping its still good! I’m sure it is.
Oh and just a reminder, a few posts back I posted about exploring Vancouver with a promo code that I was given by GPSmycity. You can get a free promo code to explore a city of your choice also, details here
I’m glad that even though I felt like being lazy today I decided to be productive. I always feel better after having a productive day off than when I do nothing.
Anyways, ramble over, here’s to now having a hopefully productive night off!
