I’m sure anyone who reads this blog will know by now my strong obsession with all things autumn. It has been my favorite season since I was 18, and nothing makes me happier than the sound of crunching leaves under my feet.
This season so far there haven’t been many leaves on the ground, which has been a tad disappointing. I love going for long walks in autumn bundled up in scarves and just taking a ton of photographs. Unfortunately so far this year there have still been some pretty warm days, and the leaves are minimal. The leaves I do find tend to be littered with garbage.
No one wants a photo of that, let’s be real.
So hopefully within the next week or so more leaves will begin to fall.
In the meantime I will look at the photos that I took last year. This photo is one of my favorites.
It was taken during a long walk to a doctor appointment that I had. I could have taken the bus and been there in 15 minutes, but the 45 minute walk is really nice if I walk the back roads. I love Vancouver but always being in the city is a bit tough on my small town soul. When I walk the back roads however, I cannot get enough!
During this particular walk I was wandering past gorgeous large houses all decorated for Halloween. There were fallen leaves on the ground, and everywhere I looked all I saw was orange. It was so perfect!
I know soon enough there will be leaves everywhere and I can bundle up and get out in the cooler weather in my scarves. I will wander, take photos like this one, come home and make tea. Then I will cozy up in some blankets with either a book, this blog or some Netflix.
That is my idea of perfection.
Do you love autumn as much as I do?
What is your favorite season?
