Is there anything that screams autumn and winter more than pile of leaves and pinecones?
I don’t think so!
Whenever I see leaves I think of autumn, whenever I see pinecones I think of both autumn and winter. There is something so cozy looking about seeing a pile of them on the ground that I can’t help but want to snatch them all up to decorate with them!
I’m originally from Ontario and was lucky enough to always be finding pinecones everywhere I went in the cooler months. There were even some in the park across the street from where I grew up!
Now that I live in Vancouver where the temperatures are typically warmer, I haven’t been lucky enough to find any pinecones on the ground whenever I’ve been out.
Not going to lie, it has been a tad disappointing.
I went into my backyard not long ago to take some pictures. I was really loving how pretty the grass and trees looked. As I was about to go back inside I noticed a bowl on the ground filled with leaves and pinecones. Someone in the building must have put them out there to decorate a bit!
Needless to say it made my day! I love the cool tones of the photo as it really portrays the cooler weather.
It was such a treat to find a pile of pinecones on the ground 🙂
