When I moved to Vancouver I heard that it never snows. Coming from a huge snowstorm in Northern Ontario, that was fine with me. However, two winters here later and I miss snow so much! So when it randomly snowed not too long ago, I became incredibly excited. I knew what this called for.
A snowy night walk!!
It seems that as soon as the first few snow flakes fell, no one knew how to drive all of a sudden. I want to say that I can’t blame the drivers. They aren’t used to snow and don’t have winter tires, so snow must be worrisome. But this is Vancouver we’re talking about, and the drivers here are the worst I have seen anywhere, so I’m really not surprised haha.
Even though it was night time and snowing out, I NEEDED to go outside and touch the snow.
Once outside, I saw how thick and fluffy the snow flakes falling were and it felt so magical. I went for a short walk around the block. I could have stayed outside for hours.
The air felt cool and crisp, I felt like I was breathing in fresh air (if you live in a city then you know how rare real fresh air is!) and I had the biggest smile on my face.
The snow was very wet but I wanted to take a picture anyways. My phone quickly got soaked but I love this picture.
To me it looks as if the picture is a painting, and I love how the sky contrasts against the tree.
For a super quick photo this was the perfect way to sum up my night! I only hope to see snow on Christmas day now 🙂
Do you love snow like I do?
What about night walks?
I agree that snow is very pretty but I’m not a fan of dealing with it. Long walks in the warm evenings of summer? Yes, please!
We are opposites. I hate getting gross and sweaty in the summer!
I live in Wisconsin (and as I type this it’s snowing) Snow is so pretty when I’m not driving in it, I think! 🙂
Have a great holiday!
