This isn’t a typical photo Friday picture.
I didn’t take this photo while out exploring another country. No, instead I took this photo walking to work last November.
A Vancouver Tree.
I don’t know what it is, but this tree here is beside an open air museum. Really the museum is just a few really long legs in different positions of walking.
It’s kinda cool.
Every time I walk past this tree though, it is a bit different.
Or as I like to think of it, cool!
Compared to other Vancouver trees, this is only a tiny tree, but every time I see it there are small differences. Some days there are no leaves, other times the branches are bent in a weird way, other times it looks like all of the branches have decided to take a nap.
I’m sure you are all thinking “well yeah, trees do change through out the year”.
To which I say yes you are right!
But even if I walk past this tree in the morning and then again later in the day, there are little changes.
The reason I decided to share this photo and story with you is because I love this tree, and I think the rain drops on the branches are just beautiful. I wish I could have captured how big and defined they were, but my phone just wasn’t having it.
And even just exploring your own area is still a form of travel and discovery.
I need to explore more of Vancouver, but I love exploring the area that I live in also 🙂
I can tell you one thing.
I LOVE getting to see all of the different trees that Vancouver has, and getting to have fun choosing which Vancouver tree is my favorite.
When I get more photos I will share them with you of course 🙂
