Growing up I have always heard or read lists with titles such as “100 books to read before you die” or “50 books that will change your life”.
One book that always topped the list is Wuthering Heights.
I always knew that I would eventually read this book one day. There seemed to be no way around it!
A few weeks ago, just as I was finishing Amy Poehler’s book “Yes Please” I found myself in a book store with Scott. We often visit this book store as it is a 10 minute walk away, and is a small, local store. I ended up in the store where I always do. Looking at the classics.
There are SO many classic novels that I want, but the one I always went back to was Wuthering Heights.
Since I was just finishing up a book and had nothing new lined up, I decided that now was the time to buy the book!
I’m only half way through this book, and it is not at all what I expected.
I have so much to say about this book so I’m going to end up writing an entire post dedicated to it once I finish and have time to think about what I just read.
But what I will say so far is, WOW!
I am hooked, in ways that I haven’t been in a long time. In ways that I haven’t been since I last lost myself so completely in a novel, that putting it down was horrendous, and broke my heart a bit.
Yeah, that’s where I am…What the Heights does to your soul…
So be on the look out for my post all about Wuthering Heights!
When is it coming? When will I finally allow myself to finish this book?
I’ll let you know 😉
Have you ever read this novel? How did it affect your soul?
