Mountains, beaches, lush green areas all over the city, Vancouver is beautiful. Before moving here I thought I would be living in a grey city with no trees anywhere. How wrong I was! I thought it would be fun to show you all some photos to inspire you to visit Vancouver.
When you hear the word “city” you likely don’t imagine lots of green spaces. Luckily for me, a nature girl at heart, nearly everywhere I go in the city I can see the mountains peaking out over the high rises. I’ve been living here for 4 years now and I still get butterflies in my stomach whenever I see the mountains. There’s something so special about being on a bus to work and having the most beautiful views of the ocean with mountains in the backdrop.
Now that Spring is coming soon there will be stunning cherry blossoms all over the city (my favorite!) so I can’t wait to fill my camera roll with lots of photos of the cherry blossoms.
Even just the other night, I was waiting to meet Scott for dinner and wanted to find somewhere to sit and read. I was beside a busy street and there were no benches to be seen. I decided to go down a side street and suddenly there were trees all over, lots of benches to sit on, a fountain, some statues, and even though I was only a minute walk away from the busy street, I couldn’t hear a thing!
That’s what I love about Vancouver. There are hidden spaces all over if you need a break from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Here are the photos!
I didn’t plan to share this many photos, but as I was scrolling through my photos choosing which ones to share, I kept getting excited to show you more and more. Isn’t Vancouver beautiful?
The city is so close to nature, and even the city itself is quite pretty. If you get sick of being in the city though, then it is so easy to head out hiking, go into the mountains, or take a day trip somewhere.
I hope you enjoyed these photos.
