Simple & spicy potato wedges? Yum! I have a serious love of potatoes. They are filling and delicious. They have so many varieties, the recipe possibilities are truly endless. Lately I have been on a Yukon Gold Potato kick, but for this recipe I’m about show you any variety of potato will work.
I’m the type of girl who will discover a recipe and stick to it, remaking it over and over until I get sick of it. But recently I ordered a crazy amount of potatoes (I attempted the potato diet, but that’s for another blog post) and needed to think up new ways to eat them.
I love getting spicy wedges from the grocery store in their precooked deli section, but have never made my own, so I decided to try it out!
Spicy Potato Wedges
A Simple Recipe For Spicy Potato Wedges.
- 3 Gold Yukon Potatoes
- 1/2 tsp Cumin
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 1/4 tsp Chili Powder (optional for extra spice)
- 1/4 tsp Garlic Powder (optional)
- 1 tsp olive oil
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Wash potatoes thoroughly.
Cut potatoes into wedges.
Put into a bowl and drizzle with olive oil to coat potatoes.
Add in spices. Chili powder and garlic powder are optional. I enjoy the chili powder to give it the spicy kick and I just love garlic powder in everything.
Toss potatoes to coat evenly.
Put on a pan and cook for 40 minutes, flipping halfway.
Enjoy! I like to eat these with ketchup or BBQ sauce.
These were such a success that I’ve already made them three times! As I said before, I love potatoes and I am really happy and excited to have a new recipe to add to my potato roster.
My preferred way to enjoy them is with ketchup, but I decided to try them with BBQ sauce to switch it up and it was really good as well!
