No joke. This photo here I want to share with you is a photo I took while Scott and I were driving to Vancouver when we first moved here.
We were driving through a beautifully snowy Alberta, and I saw this little cabin.
Looking at the photo now though I’m thinking it may just be a large outhouse. But who knows?! Either way it is a gorgeous spot!
I’m so glad I had the camera ready because this cabin came and went so quick, I’m impressed I even got a photo!
We had just spent the night in Banff and were on our way to Kamloops. I was in awe of the snowy mountains and was wishing I could just stay in the mountains forever.
Then out of nowhere this cabin popped up and I snapped a quick photo.
Seriously though, how perfect a location for a cabin? Or an outhouse. If this were my cabin I’m pretty sure I would become a hermit and never leave.
One thing I really miss from Ontario is weather. Everyone tells me how perfect the weather in Vancouver is. I kind of agree, but not really. We haven’t had much of a summer this year as the weather is all over the place. We have had lots of rain since moving here (yay rain!) but not one single thunderstorm. I miss that.
But most of all, something I never imagined, was how much I miss SNOW.
I grew up in a house where when I looked outside in winter all I saw was snowy forest.
I haven’t seen snow in a year and a half, and I miss it.
I REALLY want to go spend some time in the mountains, and specifically when it’s snowing. How gorgeous would that mountain view be to wake up to?
Looking at this photo makes me feel so happy and relaxed, and really, I want to go into that cabin!
Do you love weather as much as I do? How do you feel about snow?
