Today is a cold, rainy day, and I have to get ready to go to my work’s store meeting in about ten minutes.
Since it is so dark, wet and cold out I really don’t want to go. I’m comfy under a bunch of covers in bed, watching Youtube and on my laptop drinking tea.
It’s nice. Don’t make me go.
But at least that means that sometime this week I get to leave work a few hours early, to make up for the hours I’ll be getting tonight. So that’s good at least!
Since it is so dark and dreary out, I decided to show you all my new purchase!
Now that I’m working seasonal at work I see all the beautiful plants as soon as they come in, all fresh and gorgeous looking.
I have been doing quite well at not purchasing any of the gorgeous plants, but just taking photos instead. (This girl does NOT have a green thumb)
Until these babies came in.
I literally spent too much of my work day yesterday walking back to these and ordering them from prettiest to less pretty, and holding them. I sold quite a few that way!
After arguing with myself for hours about whether or not to get one, my co workers finally told me to just do it. (Chances are they wanted me to shut up about it)
SO I DID!!!!
I bought a cactus, two succulents, and a small pot to put them in.
In the end the cactus didn’t fit in too well, and I wasn’t crazy about it, so I’m going to return it tonight so someone who would love it more than I will can have it 🙂
I think it’s safe to say I’m obsessed!
I went outside and stole dirt from the downstairs garden for our building…I just didn’t see the point of buying a big bag of soil when I really don’t need it. You can hardly even tell I smuggled a few handfuls from the building…;)
I feel like a proper adult now with my first plants!
Scott’s reaction when I showed him them “They better not bring any bugs in the house”….
He’ll love them soon enough I think 🙂
Are any of you plant parents?
