Sounds like a conceited title, I know. But I love reading posts like these when other’s do them. It’s a fun way to get to know someone without having to read what feels like a novel.
You get to hear about someone’s likes and dislikes, and fun facts really quick. It’s a short little insight into whose life you’re reading about.
As I write this the rain is pouring down and I’m curled up with a hot water bottle, so even though my stomach is out to get me, I’m in a pretty good mood and feel super cosy. Perfection.
So let’s do this!
A is for autumn. My favourite season. Obviously
B is for Brooklyn, my name and the place of the best pizza I’ve ever eaten
C is for Christmas, one of my favourite holidays
D is for dog. I sound like a child, but I have always had pets, and right now I don’t so every time I see a dog walking around I burst with happiness inside. Whenever a dog rushes over to me for a pat I am so excited. I am definitely the type of person who needs animals around.
E is for Easter! My favourite holiday (weird/random I know) I make my boyfriend set up an East egg hunt for me each year, and I get so in the spirit of chocolate.
F is for food. I love cooking and trying out recipes.
G is for Google. I can’t even begin to count how many times a day I have a thought or someone will ask me a question, and the first thing I do is jump on Google to find out. I can’t imagine a world without Google.
H is for Halloween, who shares the title of second favourite holiday with Christmas.
I is for Instagram. Like seriously I am beyond obsessed. I love Instagram so much. It inspires me everyday to get out in the world, to cook healthier. I love taking photos and editing photos now just for Instagram.
J is for jokes. When I’m comfortable around someone I’m always joking around with them, but if I’m not comfortable with someone I can come off as uptight and serious. So here’s to lightening up!
K is for kittens. I’ve never been able to answer the “Are you a cat or dog person?” because I grew up with both and I love both. But I have been seeing so many videos on YouTube and Facebook with kittens lately, I want one so bad! Not forever, just to play with for a few hours because we decided that when we do have time for an animal it will be a dog. But kitten cuddles are the best.
L is for lists. I have become a huge fan of writing lists.
M is for movies. I have so many favourite movies. Movies have always been one of my favourite things and always will be. We have a HUGE movie collection we will probably never get through, and once I love a movie I can re-watch it over and over.
N is for Northern Lights. I cannot wait to see these in real life one day. Photos are amazing, but I can only imagine how inspiring seeing them for real will be.
O is for over thinking. This is something I am very guilty of. I’ll get an idea in my mind, and it’s all I can think of. Or someone makes a simple comment, and I read so much into it for hours afterwards.
P is for Pinterest. Pinterest is one of my favourite social media platforms. I love browsing through my feed and searching the categories. I feel so inspired every time I’m on it. The amount of craft ideas, home ideas and recipes that I have taken from Pinterest is priceless.
Q is for quiet. I love being around people and rowdiness, but I also desperately need me time and quiet time. If I don’t have that quiet time I cannot function.
R is for rain. I love the rain. It doesn’t rain out here in Vancouver nearly as much as everyone told me about and I find it quite disappointing. Whenever it does rain my heart skips a beat and I just want to grab an umbrella and go outside and breathe it all in.
S is for Scott. My boyfriend whom I live with and who stuck by me whilst I was off away travelling for 6 months. I’m also going to sneak Spaghetti in here to because it’s my favourite food <3 Yum.
T is for Travel. I cannot imagine a life without travel and I really don’t want to.
U is for understanding. I have been trying really hard to work on myself and my own understanding of myself. So far I think I’m doing great, I only hope I can keep it up when I’m back at work.
V is for victory. There are little things in the world that feel better than achieving ones victories. Whether it’s a big one or a small one, a victory is a victory and something to be proud of.
W is for water. My favourite beverage. I have been told by many that I drink too much water. But if I am not constantly sipping on water I feel so dehydrated and it is all that I can think about. I love it.
X is for eXperience. Yes I totally just cheated, but my goodness I could only think of lame X words, and the ones I Googled I couldn’t even pronounce. So eXperience will have to do for now. I love trying new things solely for new eXperiences. I love having a story to tell and think back on.
Y is for yes. I am trying to say yes to things more often. I’ll never be a ‘yes girl’ but trying to do more and say yes is something I want to work on.
Z is for Zumba, my new favourite workout. I started doing Zumba just from videos that I have found on YouTube and I’m loving it! It works up a sweat in a short amount of time and I feel like I’m really using my workout time wisely.
This post was actually hard to write and I had to keep walking away from it because as usual I was over thinking it.
Like ‘oh what do I actually like?’
‘Am I sure that’s a favourite of mine?’
‘Isn’t that unoriginal?’
But seriously, when actually completed I’m like ‘yeah that’s so me’.
So there we go. A to Z of Me.
