The Christmas Movies I’m Watching Before The Big Day

Christmas Movies To Watch Before Christmas

Movies To Watch Before Christmas

There are far too many Christmas movies to ever keep track of them all. As soon as December 1st rolls about I grab as many as I can from my shelves and make a pile beside the TV. It is always such an exciting thing to do.

This year I watched a few new ones, but of course have been returning to all my older favorites. Every Christmas Eve I HAVE to watch Rudolph, Frosty and Year Without A Santa Claus for it to truly feel like Christmas here in Vancouver, with no snow. No complaints from me though, as they are truly wonderful films!

The Movies List

  • The Princess Switch – a new one, and a new favorite on Netflix!
  • Krampus – This came out a few years ago but this was my first year watching it. I loved it! Obviously, it is a horror after all..
  • Holiday Inn – Is this considered a Christmas movie? It is an old Bing Crosby film where the song White Christmas debuted.
  • White Christmas
  • The Polar Express
  • How the Grinch Stole Christmas
  • Year Without A Santa Claus (multiple times because it is my all time favorite!)
  • Elf
  • Gremlins
  • Gremlins 2
  • Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer
  • Frosty the Snowman
  • Frosty Returns
  • I’ll be home for Christmas
  • The Santa Claus, 1-3
  • Jack Frost
  • Home Alone
  • Home Alone 2, Lost in New York
  • Fred Claus
  • Santa Claus is Coming To Town
  • National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation

This is my list of Christmas movies that I have either already watched this year, or will watch between now and Christmas day! I love this time of year and could honestly keep watching Christmas movies year round, there are so many incredible ones to watch!

Which Christmas movies are on your list this year?
Which movie is your favorite?

  1. I usually love a good cheesy Christmas movie, but The Christmas Switch was even too cheesy for me. I couldn’t get in to it and didn’t finish it! I love the classic set though and Home Alone! I also love watching The Nativity Story and Polar Express!

Hi! I’m Brooklyn. Like many, I thought my purpose in life was to go to university, settle down and have kids. But that is not me.

My aim is to inspire you to travel as much as you can while you can, whether that be through au pair work, or on your limited vacation days. It CAN be done. This world is incredible, let’s explore it!
