Thank you so much to the lovely Reema from Aumsome! She nominated me to do this tag, which I am so happy to do 🙂 Her blog is all about one of my favorite things – Stationary! Also lots of DIY and gorgeous photos. Seriously, looking at her blog will make you want to buy everything stationary related.
This tag is, as the title suggests, a Harry Potter tag. I just finished re-watching all of the movies and am planning to start on the books again soon. So getting to talk about Harry Potter on my blog? Yes please!
What House Are You In?
Every quiz I do says Gryffindor, but I just know in my heart I’m a Slytherin. If it were possible I would say 51% Slytherin and 49% Gryffindor. I relate so much to both houses but feel just a touch closer to Slytherin.
What Is Your Patronus?
A Black Bird, which is very interesting. You’ll find out why in a moment.
What Is Your Wand?
Cypress Wood, 11 inches in length, Unicorn hair core and quite bendy flexibility.
Here is an excerpt from Pottermore about the wand.
Cypress wands are associated with nobility. The great medieval wandmaker, Geraint Ollivander, wrote that he was always honored to match a cypress wand, for he knew he was meeting a witch or wizard who would die a heroic death. Fortunately, in these less blood-thirsty times, the possessors of cypress wands are rarely called upon to lay down their lives, though doubtless many of them would do so if required. Wands of cypress find their soul mates among the brave, the bold and the self-sacrificing: those who are unafraid to confront the shadows in their own and others’ natures.
I love it!
What Would Your Boggart Be?
This is why I said my Patronus was interesting. My Boggart would be a bird. Not necessarily black. But I am terrified of birds. Like, I scream and duck when they fly near me. So when I found out that my Patronus was a Black Bird I was curious as to why.
What Position Would You Play In Quidditch?
I’m not sporty so I would be in the bleachers, enjoying the game.
Would You Be Pure Blood, Half Blood Or Muggle Born?
Based on my love of Slytherin and the description associated with my wand I believe I would be Pure Blood.
What Job Would You Want To Have After Graduating Hogwarts?
I think I would love to open up a shop in Diagon Alley. Or maybe a pub! That would be so fun.
Which Of The Deathly Hallows Would You Choose?
The Elder Wand. I would love to hold that power. I think I could be trusted with it to keep it safe and use it only for good, so I have no fears about it. I would not want the Resurrection stone because I believe the dead should stay dead, and I’m sure with the Elder Wand I could have a spell to make myself temporarily invisible, so no need for the cloak.
The Prisoner of Azkaban.
Least Favorite Book?
The Chamber Of Secrets
The Prisoner of Azkaban. I love how magical it is. It’s when the series first really has a ‘darker’ feel to it. And I adore both Sirius and Buckbeak.
Least Favorite Film?
The Goblet Of Fire. Also nearly my least favorite book. I just found them both boring.
Sirius Black!! I feel so much for him. Such a sad life, but such a brave man.
Least Favorite Character?
Umbridge. Ugh, just thinking of her makes my skin crawl.
Favorite Teacher At Hogwarts?
Remus Lupin. I wish he could have stayed being a teacher there for longer, but then he may never have had the relationship he did with Tonks.
Least Favorite Teacher At Hogwarts?
Gilderoy Lockhart. What a waste of a teacher for such an important subject.
Do You Have Any Unpopular Opinions About The Series?
Everyone seems to have loved the Goblet of Fire but I found it the most boring book and movie of the series.
If You Could Save One Character From The Final Battle Who Would You Save?
Fred. Him and George were meant to accomplish so much more together. It doesn’t feel right having them not together. His death impacted me the most, followed closely by Tonks and Lupin. My heart broke for their baby.
I nominate everyone who wants to do this (and I think you all should!). This was such a fun tag and I miss talking about Harry Potter all of the time.
Go check out Reema’s post!
