I’m not really sure where to start, I really just wanted to blog a bit, so we’ll see where this post takes us I guess!
I’m off today (Monday as I’m writing this) and have had a successful day of laundry doing, making my next few work lunches, sweeping, eating a delicious salad for lunch, and now I’m just drinking and watching some Zoella videos on YouTube.
I decided to share my last few days with you all!
On Thursday Scott and I both had the day off, so we decided to go out for a bit.
We originally planned to go to Metrotown to walk around the mall, but then we realized how tempted we would be to go see the Jungle Book (his mom said it was awesome!) and buy things, so we instead headed to the Pacific Center.
The Pacific Center is a mall a few short train stations from us, but neither of us like the mall too much (other than the Disney Store!) so we knew we wouldn’t buy too much.
We went to Bath and Body Works so I could pick up some more hand sanitizer for work. I attach it to my uniform for easy access!
They made new shaped bottle, so I had to buy a new attachment as well.
I love these hand sanitizers! So cute!
I also picked up some sleep moisturizer and a few candles.
The Mahogany candle is divine! I haven’t yet tried the wine one, but I expect it will be perfect for me.
Yeah, I love wine.
Next we went to my favourite store….THE DISNEY STORE!
The Disney store is the best store, I wish I were in New York City and could go to the giant one they have!
I withheld and didn’t buy anything! Even though I REALLY wanted a few mugs.
I’m seriously running out of mug space though. I need an extra cupboard!
We next walked down to the comic book store we love, called Golden Age (I think), and look how cute this guy is!
Oh you don’t find the Predator pop vinyl cute? No, you’re weird…
Scott found this one to show me.
After much consideration, and staring lovingly at Cogsworth and the Beast, I may have bought Mrs.Potts & Chip, and by may have bought, I definitely bought.
They fit right in 🙂
After we wandered around a bit more before heading off to Original Joe’s near our place for dinner.
I have been to Original Joe’s once before with some work friends, and this time I had just as good of a time.
Scott got some salt and pepper chicken wings and I went with a veggie burger, Caesar salad, and sweet potato fries. These sweet potato fries were the best I’ve ever had from a restaurant. I wasn’t overly fussed on the veggie burger so I didn’t finish it, but it was still good!
I also got an amazing drink, called a raspberry burst. It had vodka, raspberry syrup, sprite and lime juice. It was so good!
Since our date day we have just been at home watching lots of good/bad movies.
We have watched all of the Jaws movies, Lake Placid, Piranha DD, Red Lights, and I don’t even remember what others. We did however watch season 3 of Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
Yes it has been a lot of movies, but it was nice. We love cheesy/amazing water movies (hello Piranha DD for cheesy, and all the others for amazing!)
I had dinner the other night, and made a huge bowl of fettuccine noodles with a tomato and basil sauce with lots of spinach.
By the way, this was WAY too much pasta. It was so delicious, but way too much. My eyes were clearly bigger than my stomach. I need to get a small bowl specifically for pasta. It is my favorite food, so I always take too much and then regret it part way through.
The past couple of days I have just been doing yoga and working.
I joined a yoga class with a friend and I am loving it so far.
I have tried to do yoga on my own, but I always worry that I’m doing it incorrectly and keep doubting myself. I’ve gone to a few classes so far, and I’ve already signed up for the next session. I would like to do a few more classes through out the week, but signing up when I work shift work is difficult.
I’m sure I’ll figure it out though! 🙂
I’ve also been eating avocado toast for breakfast, like the basic chick that I am. But really, avocado toast is a healthy and filling breakfast, so you should do it too 😉
This toast is with a new pack of rye bread, aka the most delicious bread, and I had to also toast the cute mini top of the loaf. That’s the best part!
Anyways, I think I’ve rambled enough/I’m out of good photos to share, so I hope you are all having a great start to your week! These have been my last few days, and they have been pretty good, so here’s to a good next few days!
How has your weekend been? Any fun plans for this week?!
