Well it’s official. I am now mid to late twenties, instead of just mid twenties. It’s funny. I have always had friends older than me and never feel like any of them are old or anything, but now I’m like, how can I possibly be closer to age 30 than age 20? It just doesn’t feel real I guess. Here is how my day was turning 27.
My birthday was last Friday and was a pretty good day!
Scott had to work during the day so we made plans to meet up for food and drinks at The Rogue Kitchen And Wet Bar. We’ve been a few times before and enjoyed it so we thought it was the perfect place.
During the day I just relaxed and watched YouTube videos and read my book. I love relaxing days like this! Especially in summer when I don’t want to go outside and burn.
When it was time to meet Scott I got a bit dressed up and headed over!
I didn’t take any photos of the food or restaurant because we were just do deep in conversation, but he had chicken tenders and I had nachos and a margarita. For dessert we shared a slice of cheesecake, because you can’t have a birthday without cake. Everything was delicious!
When we got home he still had two gifts left to give me. (Whenever Scott buys me a gift he always tries to get me to open it way before it’s time. He had been bugging me to open my gifts for WEEKS. Finally at midnight I let him give me one, and then the next morning he gave me another.) The first gift he gave me at midnight was a little Morty plush from the show Rick and Morty. We just started watching this show and we are nearly finished season 3! I need season 4 to come out now please 🙂
The next gift he gave me was a Hagrid figurine that came with the umbrella and birthday cake he gave to Harry the night they met. I love it! He is so adorable.
After dinner he gave me my last two gifts. A Harry Potter Lego and the most gorgeous bag ever.
Isn’t it so pretty?! I still haven’t used it yet because I don’t want to take it just anywhere. I need something special to use it for.
I’m a bit nervous about the lego because I think I’ll be really bad at putting it together, but I can’t wait for it to be built so I can display it on our bookshelf.
Thank you Scott for a wonderful day!
