Quinoa Veggies


  • 3/4 cup uncooked quinoa
  • 1 cup veggies (any that you wish)
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 1 tbsp soya sauce
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce (I used sriracha)
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • salt to taste


  1. Rinse uncooked quinoa under warm water for 3 minutes.

  2. Cook quinoa. To cook, put quinoa in a pot with a lid. Add double the water to ratio of quinoa. Bring to a boil. Once boiling, cover and simmer for 15 minutes.

  3. Once quinoa is cooked, in a pan, heat olive oil.

  4. Add cup of veggies. I used peas and carrots.

  5. Add in cooked quinoa.

  6. Cook veggies and quinoa together for about five minutes, so that veggies are not hard.

  7. Once cooked, add in hot sauce, soya sauce, cumin, salt and sesame seeds.

  8. Mix it all together.

  9. Plate food, and add nutritional yeast on top.

  10. Enjoy!
